Wonderful painting featuring rain. You have masterfully captured several images one often sees when it is raining. From the water dripping off the roof of the building, to the child with are held out to the adult walking in front, the reflections in the mud puddles and the little bit of blue sky in with the grey. Excellent job. Good luck in the contest. Thanks for sharing your work.

This is such a lovely painting of yours! Quite an emotional piece as well as you see the little girl stopping to stomp in a puddle! lol The raincoat is so cute and the matching boots. Great idea for the blue rainfcoat. Makes the little one stand out all the more. You honestly feel they are moving. I like the perspective of the stonewall and the colors in them. The hills ahead are lovely adn though you didn't put as much color, you feel it's probably fall weather and look of terrain. Love the mountain in the distance and the iea of trees in front. The clouds are great and you really did well making them angry. Yet, you have a bit of blue sky and a lighter sky so you know it'll pass quickly. Like the barn you put on the right side. Think it really holds your eyes on the two walking by it. Can see how you put the light about. Really a lovely and touching painting. Annie

You bother to do the detailed work, least I can do plus I enjoy it. Then it also helps me to learn. Still can't draw like that but hope one day to do painting and all the great art on here will finally click in! lol Really like that painting. Sometimes adding a person in...makes all the difference for storytelling. Great job! Annie

This is a good effort on your behalf and the figures do indeed lead you into/out of the picture...there is of course not a l.ot to see in the distance (altho' the clouds and the mountains are there) and perhaps you are considering another version of this which could be rather nice...Cheers Rob

Great oil painting. The soft colours worked well, and the pathway leads the eye to the mother and child walking down the lane. Wonderful blends and tones you have used. A great Yorkshire Dales image. he he. well done.

This is a very nice painting. The sky has so uch going on in it and the splashes from the boots are done so well it really depicts the rain. The colors are warm and soothing even though its a rainy day. Very well done
