I suppose by your notes that Iris are easier than roses to paint digitally. It really doesn't matter to us viewers and this is a spectacular view of a spring flower. I have never seen a red Iris but I suppose there is always the possibility of mutation !? LOL
this digital creation is masterfully put together and presented with fine composition.. Thanks Shawn,Dennis

Awesome, the RED looks fantastic. I love how the background is blurred with traces of other RED flowers. Thanks for sharing this... Flame

I realize the focus here is actually the flower, but lately I've been fascinated with backgrounds as well. I love the spots of red mixed in with the background colors of green and I like the soft blending of colors. The only thing that bothers me a bit is that parts of the flower are soft and almost out of focus and others (like the leaves are sharp). Perhaps that was the intent? Also your signature is really sharp, but the date is fuzzy. Not trying to knit-pick, it just makes it seem like they don't belong together. Otherwise color and composition are great - intense.

This has great initial and creative impact, it really looks beautiful. I love the colors and movement of the lines and how the background is completely blurred. Excellent work and thanks for sharing it!

Wow this is beautiful!
The colours are simply magical; so rich and vibrant. I love what you have done with the depth of field. The tone of light also creates an almost dreamlike effect. Nice work. Kristina

I'm going to have to take a few days off and go online and learn more about digital art. I absolutely love it but find it also very complicated and a bit scary to try on my own. For now I am content to be a professional audience offering her opinion whether wanted or not. This is simply stunning. The blurry background is excellent especially since you continued the lovely color scheme into it. The Iris is stunning and I love the blue and green accents on the leaves. But most of all, I love the marvelous dried flowers at the bottom. This is such a common sight with iris and I am impressed you thought to add them.

Exquisitely rendered and depicted - This is one of my favorites from this floral series you have been posting lately - The natural state you have created with the budding irises and the dying ones is amazing to say the least - Great work - Thank you - Howard
