Shawn, I love your creation. Very good impact and bold lines. Have you thought about creating this in color? I would love to see one. :)

Thanks for sharing your work.

This is beautiful. That the variety is only in values really makes me "think" about it. Well done!

This is an interesting digital painting, with strong initial impact. The composition is great. She shades of black and gray are very realistic, and appropriate for a typhoon. It is a creative piece of art.

You scare me! Typhoon, That's the same in Asia what is called hurricane here. I live 100 pieces from the beach!
Anyway beside the scare its a speaking picture but it isn't a really bad storm not more than 70-80mph I guess. The palm trees are still standing and the rice plants just bend so I think the place will be spared for the time being.
Interesting the colors of gray emerging into a threatening black in the clouds. Interesting also the movement captured in the windblown palms and rice(?) plants. The silhouettes add to the impression of an dark day.

I like this very much. It definitely has the energy and feel of a terrible storm. You've achieved a lot with the black and white palette. It also has a very nice palette.

Thank you for sharing.

You're welcome. I meant to write that it also has a very nice composition. No coffee yet :)

:))) Thank you for clarifying that, TS. Nothing like having a pallet for each color...lol. I knew you meant to write something else, but wasn't sure what. Again, thank you :)

I'm used to seeing lots of color, but for this one, it works well. The contrast shows the looming storm on the horizon and movement of the trees and grasses very good. Well painted.

Good portrail of disaster about to happen. Great suggestion of movement and energy, the choice dark shades adds plenty of drama. Well done

Wow!! have you created a vicious storm with this one. The blacks and grays just add to the intense feeling. I wouldn't want to be anywhere near the area. The colours and the bending of the grass is superb. We had a warning down the east coast of Australia a few months back but it came to nothing. Just as well. Top of the list. Sandy

Thank you for the super review, Sandy. To me b&w art shows more emotion, but you would be surprised how many people just have to have bold bright colors in everything. Naturally that depends on the subject too. It doesn't work for everything, but does real wonders on the emotional side. I don't mean the artist's emotions, I'm talking the mood of the painting and having it evoke emotions in others. Me, I'm just fine....I think...LOL. Again, thank you. :))
