LowRider, Five Stars for a great photograph. Wonderful setting, great exposure and the image is very sharp. But, I am still going to bug you. I worked for years in the field of "mental retardation" or "developmentally handicapped" and know that many folks who have a relative who is developmentally handicapped would be understandable hurt by your reference to this animal as "mentally challenged" and "retarded". Still, it's a great photograph, and I still like you.
Peace, Papa

Papa, I am a mother of an incredible 22 year old, challenged young man, I have given my every ounce of my blood and my soul to not only helping my son, but, making a difference in many other's considered 'less than perfect' children's lives--once again, hitting the pavement head on, dealing with the STATE school board,YEP, ya bug me beyond controll!! His life has been my only life since his birth------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------been there, am there, will be there even after my demise, if I offend, I suggest they get real--------

LowRider, this is the first picture of yours that I have seen and I love it!! I think I am a little partial because I love great danes as well and you did a wonderful job at capturing Rokki in this one. His ears, intense look in his eyes, the drool, his beautiful markings and field of flowers...you can't help but love this picture!

The image is skillfully captured, and I like the framing.
His posture is almost reagal, despite the fact whether his mind is all there, or not, in reference of the neighbor about to put him down for his "mental retardation".
The red eye is strange, but it works for his character, and somehow he seems old and wise.

There is a sadness to the story, one's life turns upside down when they lose a pet, especially one that they have really connected with! There is a bond that goes beyond words, and time is the only healer! As for memories, Rokki's memory will never be lost, as you have this wonderful picture, his memory is there with you all the time, and the picture makes it easier as we get older! I like the clearness in this shot and you have a very willing subject! The flowers are a perfect, gives Rokki and the photo a peaceful setting! Excellent focus of Rokki, and I know he will be with you always!
