Beautiful photograph. Clarity is great as is the focus. Great composition and colors. I really like how clear this looks how do you do this?
Thank you for sharing your photograph.

Thank you so very much for a good review and high score! It must be the sensor in the camera as all my shots are clear!

This is absolutely a fantastic shot of the blue jay. We have stellar jays where I live but I think the blue jays are much prettier. I've tried some bird shots but have never reached your level. Very good clarity. Nicely composed with good focus and detail. Well done. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so very much! I have not seen the stellar jay. Do they make a lot of racket?

They are very noisy as well. You know when they are around.

This is a very beautiful shot of this male blue jay. Clarity and depth of the colors are great. The fine detail of each feather is amazing. Great Job!

Thank you so very much! I don't know if it a male or female. They both look the same!

Overall a nice image, like the details and the lighting are all good. I do think the reflection in the ye makes him look off, not natural. But I still think the positive and negative space are well balanced in area and colors.

This is a beautiful portrait of a bluejay. The focus is super sharp, as usual. There is good composition. The blue color is nicely saturated. It would have better contrast if you could darken the background.

This is a good crisp focus. The blue Jay does look a little bluesy. The colors are brilliant and presentation is really good. Have a great Easter week:)

It's amazing how narrow the DOF can be with this kind of long shot (I assume you were at the 300 mm end) and a wide aperture -- the beak and eye area are superbly sharp yet the bird is soft beyond the "black ring".

Anyway, besides sharpness, good exposure, good pose (with suitable space for bird to look into), glint in eye, subject/ground separation, nice colors (not just in the jay but also the bkgd pastels).

Thank you so very much! Yes, 300mm at f5,6, I try to focus on the eye and take what I get with the rest.
