yes, dear lady, if he is as compassionate as we have been led to believe, he does! he probably feels our pain with every mistake we make, but free will allows us to make them..sort of like telling your kids not to do something that will hurt them, and they do it anyway! I like the emotional appeal of this, and your composition, simple and speaks for itself. Donkeyoatey

The art work is technically well executed. You did a beautiful job with the little girl and the rainbow.I really like the lacework on the little girls dress.
Is it a lace pattern brush?
You can get some very pretty patterned brushes on the net.
The picture is very expressive and thought provoking.
To answer the question it asks, I would say the Lord cries about as much with a child as a parent does. It all depends on why the child is crying. When a child is simply throwing a fit because something is not going their own way, I think the Lord would simply ignore them in order to teach them to grow up. All need to face the facts that life is not always a bed of roses and we need to learn to deal with hard things and sadness in life as well as enjoy the good things it gives us. Too many people want to live in a fairy land of happy ever after. Reality is not like that. Learning to face reality can be a tough lesson to learn but it needs to be learned if people want to grow to maturity.
sincerely Angel.

In twisted brush yes that's a lace brush. I have to admit it is one really cool program.
I am late in responding to reviews from my recent paintings and I do apologize. This was my first of Jesus crying ,the second I posted yesterday. I Noticed your response to both works. Your right that we don't live in a fairytale world, most people learn that way too soon in life. If a child cries just because they want their way and they are a bit spoiled, I think our Lord is the same as us, He just let's them cry it out and doesn't give into them, but I'm certain just as I do, he smiles at those tears because they have no idea how blessed they are to be crying over something so silly when there are real hurts in this world.
Thank you again for a wonderful, thought provoking review

This a work very touching, really. Is a artwork rich in details and perfect technique, brilliant colors and great sharpness, its strengeth expresive is inmense. The tears and facial expression of man seems reals. Is a message sad, of pain, but, as I read in notes of author,, when cite of Bible: all do pass, too the pain. Regards

Of course He does. He feels our pain and our sadness and would take it all away from us if we let Him. If He could.
If the little girl would just take her hands from her eyes for a moment and turn around she would see the promise of hope in God's rainbow, and she might be cheered. That is the saddest part: The world is brightening around her, but she can't see it because she has her eyes closed and is wallowing in her own self pity. But, I'm not judging her. It's human nature for children and adults alike to feel sorry for ourselves, which is why we ask that very question; when we cry, does the Lord cry with us?
The colors in this painting are simply stunning. I just took a second glance at your medium and now I am even twice as impressed. I did not at first realize that this was a digital creation. The rainbow is perfect. The rendition of our Lord might be a little too pronounced for my tastes, but cest la vie. The color variations of the grass is wonderful. It gives it adequate depth, but I think it could stand some softening up.
and the little girl! You just want to reach out and hold her and try to comfort her. That or start bawling with her.
Tomorrow, when I get my new supply of stars, I want you to remind me to change this rating to a six star rating. I couldn't stop gazing at this painting, and I will probably come back to it often.

this is the second time tonight Joe that you have brightened my evening immensely. Your words for this painting are so profound. You give it added meaning with the colors that surround her that she can't see with her eyes being covered. How deeply profound!
wish I could take credit and say that's what I was going for but I can't however you have given this a whole new light and for that I am deeply grateful
thank you Joe

I'm embarrassed to say I didn't even know I was reviewing a second one by the same artist.
I often don't look at the name of the artist because It's too easy to become biased. But if I had seen that it was you again I was reviewing, it wouldn't have made a difference.

you are far too kind and I have to agree that reviewing with blinders on make it much better to review honestly so for that I have to say thank you for your honest review LOL
don't'; be embarrassed again you made my night!
thanks again

What a truly wonderful image you have created, the thought, the scene, the heartfelt intention resounds through the ages. For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten Son to save us. Does he cry for us? Every day! Love your creation. Ron
