You have started the year with a bang. Excellent portrait with a great expression and fantastic eyes. Wonderful detail and texture throughout the portrait. Great colours. Very well done. Bill

Great job my man.
The rending of the metal in the sword is amazing. or some reason, (that I can't put my finger on) the blade looks off kilter to the guard and handle.
But overall a great piece with a good impact.

Either a Sharpe pen, oil painting, digital painting, or whatever the medium you choose to use, I have got to admit this is one of your best ones yet no matter what medium you put it under LOL. Love those eyes and the detail of the face. This caught my eye right away. Way too Cool! Deserving of a six, but all out. Cyber six thrown you way

This is a great and intense portrait. Amazing emotion in the eyes. I have to say it's amazing that you do this in this medium...the ones that fuss at the skin tone can just leave it alone...when sharpie makes a nude color palate you can make it better...to me he just looks well tanned!

What???? This us a great drawing. Most of the people that criticize your work can't begin to come close to the work you produce. They are just jealous of your talent. Great steely blue eyes and the wrinkles of wisdom across Gandolf's face. Hang in there an disregard the "naysayers!" Jan

Dude you are recognized. This is outstanding with those penetrating lazar beam eyes of blue that gleem like they are under water jewels. Love this.

Wow, the way you have shown the details of his hair and beard is fantastic. I especially like the way you have portrayed his eyes, the one on the right seems to look right at the viewer and the sparkle in the middle is placed perfectly. Bravo

well i think you've taken a bold step to show that your work is meaningful and has purpose. beauty is in the eye of the beholder, some say. this is a very good piece of art that represents a earlier period of time and place, where men carried sword for protection. i know markers are a media that is hard to work with when creating art, but render great results if used properly. i feel you have used them excellently in your work, especially in 'gandalf the gray'. the old man reminds me of merlyn king authur's wizard. the face is excellent and a strong mastery of a difficult media, markers with a water base. excellent work in the strong rich flesh tone of the old man, and the beard. very nice work

Very good work. I like the bright colour palette mixed with the black ink. It makes the right side stand out. Your ink work is well done. Using layers stroke with pointellism works very well in this piece.
