Hi Willie.
As you say the pressure to get it right is tremendous , but you have done a great job here to capture this scene.
The look on their faces was worth the shot.... Concentrating on getting it JUST so,,,,
Same critique would be In the back ground I can see what looks like folded arms. They are a small distraction, I would suggest they could have been removed. Only a small point but the idea is to critique any improvements. The rest of the shot is good.
No doubt some would say the boys foot should be in. I feel NOT.... it gives the sense of him still moving and walking through the shot so I think that works well....

LOL - Girls always knows what is best Willie. I think it is sort of cute with the bare feet, and she seems to enjoy herself. The young man seems to take the procedure a bit more serious. I think I would have worked a bit with the background in this shot. Especially the yellow area on the left is a bit distracting.
This is however a nice and sharp shot, and the exposure is good. I really like the combination of white, black and red, and the only thing missing here is a dark background.
You have captured the expressions of these kids will, but they could have been better placed within the frame. You need a bit more negative space at the top and bottom, and perhaps even a tad on the left. You have still captured well a sweet moment, and I wish you luck in the contest.

Thank you! I could add a bit at the top but the bottom was cut at the time of the shot. Thank you for the suggestions. It is funny how you miss things on your own work but is easy to find it on others. I guess this is why it is good to post your work so others can see. I have learned a lot on this site from folks like you.

You are welcome. I realize that you have nothing to add at the bottom. I still had to mention it in the review. You are quite right when you say that we miss things with out own work. Doesn't seem to matter how close a look we have. LOL

Very nicely shot Willie. And the shoes don't make any difference when your toes are as painted as hers are. Great expression on his face as he is watching her fulfill her duties. Great shot, well focused, with great color.
