that is such a tantalizing comp to enter, for all us budding artists (for us to try and follow in your footsteps). i always wondered how you got the flesh tone colour. are any type of felt-tip, or ink allowed? i do not own any sharpie or bic. i had a bit of luck winning my first art comp, with my last, so i should strike whilst the iron is hot. you have such a unique style and so original in this type of presentation.

Nice strategic move to get your medium recognized. Maybe I'll even feel brave enough to enter the contest. Mind you, my pens are no-name generic "water color pens", so may not qualify, and I think I'll stick to tan and brown for skin. Plenty of dark-complexioned people in my neck of the woods!

Striking work with bright yellow colours contrasting against a black background. I like the composition since I play chess regularly. I am assuming you play too but I could be wrong! Would make a great poster and a flier if a challenge existed in real life (a chess challenge I mean!)

You should ask for a fee for this work. Very nice. Don't understand the Sharpie/BIC reference though.
Nice work

OK, OK I try it, truth its way out of my comfort zone again, have never painted with Sharpies and own only a set of six of them. On the other hand, its a challenge to try something new. Thats brings me in. I am on board skipper.
