Beautiful lighting and color. The dark background highlights the rose perfectly. The stem pushes the rose to the side and gives a very effective placement for the bud. The small green spikes around the bud help show good depth for the scene. Very nice capture.

Having read your artist notes, this image conveys great sadness. It is not the usual picture of a rose in full bloom. I like the impact of the solitary rose filling the frame. Your message certainly makes a big impact. Nicely done.

But, I know what it is like to have an amazing brother. I am blessed God gave me mine! Two years behind me. We went through everything together. He is my BEST friend and I love him more than anyone on this earth. I am so sorry for your loss. There is no way around grief, there is only through it. It is hard to live in a world where your brother does not exist. This is a lovely dedication to your brother SF.. I pray you will be comforted by those you love.

We spend every weekend together and take photography days off. He lives near me. We speak and text daily. He is my best friend.
