This is fabulous !! I would hang this in my house !!I am a photographer and am hopeless at painting- so forgive me if I do not use the " medium appropriate " terms.I like the composition. The wave- frame bottom & to the left- is coming right at me. The sea dominates the image. The partial view of the coast at frame right, middle - makes a nice break for the eye of all that water. The shades and texture in that main wave is exciting. Your use of shadows and light is excellent throughout this canvas. The sky is so dramatic.Again, your colours are great..the various tones of blue broken by the bit of orange and yellow around the coast combine to forge a great image. This is a wonderful piece of art.

Like yourself, I have lived near water for most of my life. I currently live on the banks of a canal so the scene is somewhat different with narrow boats. What a dramatic and atmospheric painting. Love the dark clouds in the sky which look threatening. The sea you have captured wonderfully well, especially the high waves in the foreground. I can almost feel the noise they make as they crash down. The composition is very attractive with hills in the distance and houses on top of them. Something of interest all over the canvas for the eyes to appreciate. Great work! Good Luck in the contest at voting time.

i dont live by the sea but ive taken 1000's of photos of a stormy sky and waves so im loving what youve done here
very close to the real deal
the wave action is brilliant
colours real sweet and rough looking
clouds are good but id like to see just a bit of sunray peeping through them somewhere, i often see the sun and its rays peeping through on stormy days and it looks so cool

the wave action is brilliant
colours real sweet and rough looking
clouds are good but id like to see just a bit of sunray peeping through them somewhere, i often see the sun and its rays peeping through on stormy days and it looks so cool
