    Efffell,

demanding and worth the end result, wouldn't you say?!

Maybe more then you want to know, but I want to give a little more information on the piece.
First off, Thank you for having opened and taken the time to looked at this piece of artwork & giving me your impressions of it. A piece of this size (5 x 7 inches ) depending on complexity can take anywhere from 12 to 20 hours to complete, this one took 15 hours.

It is a technique that I simply can not get enough of the way it gets me to looking and understanding colors, how they play off of one another, it is fun, challenging and amazing what the results can bring. That great 3D effect in the way the pure colors compliment and some time contrast to get that feeling of perspective and depth. And how all the dots works on creating form and structure without using any lines I find fascinating.

In closing, I especially appreciated all of you efforts and comments on this artwork. I hope you will continue to support my work in the future.

Thank you again for the support, have a great day! ... Cheers!!!

Thanks very much Lucien for taking time to explain the technique. I agree it requires one's patience, time and skill to bring out such authentic paintings. may your tribe increase! Good luck!

I am very impressed with your pointillist technique, and the image did draw me in. It brings me up to the fence to give the horse a big pet on his nose and and apple if he wants itl
The look on his face is very welcoming and almost talking; It is a wonderful image and I greatly admire your patience and persistence to create a pointillist work os such excellence.

I am sure he is very pleased in the end result. The shading and the colors capture the scene perfectly. The lighting you gave to the face and the foreground is perfect. The shadows created are so well applied that at first I thought this was a photo.

Wow Lucien, this is really very well done. I am not a huge fan of pointillism, but given the amount of detail that you have preserved in this drawing, I am fairly well impressed.

Excellent work!

Interesting art work. Colors and detail are good. Well composed with different elements working well together. Looks like pointillism would be a very tedious process. Nicely done.

This is surely meticulously done . A classic country side setting. I love the focus and angle, showing the well-defined facial expression. Realistic choice and use of colors. The dots are very prominent, adding depth and drama to the image. Painted with utmost expertise. A pleasure to view.

I enjoy your images. Maybe, I am also admiring your virtues of perseverance and diligence, in striving to be "excellent." Maybe, you need to submit more of your work with the Diamond Committee, because they are really EXTRAORDINAIRE! God bless. I love reading your notes, so keep doing it.

Not familiar with the technique, however, I like the face of the horse, great clarity in its face. Nice colours.

It is a technique ( it was originally developed by the impressionist artist Seurat) that I simply can not get enough of the way it gets me to looking and understanding colors, how they play off of one another, it is fun, challenging and amazing what the results can bring.
