The angle and the pose is very good. I like the way the viewer is looking over the mothers shoulder to see the child.

I do think that the entire drawing looks a little pixilated (speckeled), which takes away from the ability to clearly see the child.

In my way of thinking the negative space is too speckled looking and is in need of being a good solid dark field, so that the child being speckled in the way the media was applied would be complimented by the negative space. Instead the two areas competing for the viewers attention.

This one says it all, that precious moment of a new mother looking at her newborn for the first time.
All those hours of labor instantly forgotten , the overwhelming love just flooding her body as she gazes at perfection and the miracle that is the creation of another life.
It is all here in this beautiful image and the bond between mother and child is palpable.

Love the richness of story here in this art piece. The darkness of sky foreboding as if telling of a tough life ahead for this newborn. Mary looks concerned.

The detail as always is spectacular and is what sets you aside from other artists.

The folds in the blankets, the shadowing on the baby's face, the eye connection between the two is perfect.

My hat goes off to you yet again.

Love the title. One of my very favorite songs. Beautiful rendering with a superb softness to it that just exudes love. Have not seen the picture you used, but regardless the connection here between the eyes of the child an the mother is phenomenal and hard to look away from. Makes the title even more fitting. How beautiful! YOu have done an excellent job in this portrayal. Mother looks so intent as she looks on baby Jesus and Jesus is looking into her eyes. The star in upper left reminds us of the Christmas story. Thanks.
