The perspective is awesome. I like the balancing of those colors. Love the dimension you add to the picture. Very impressive.

Marvelously rendered reflections on the rainy path. Really love the splendid use of color tones in this. You've done an excellent job of presenting this with great story telling ability. Sensational work!

I really like the sky. Even though you can tell it is raining there is an opening of blue ahead. They seem to be walking toward that, toward something better.

Very nice! This is one of those paintings that makes you stop and ponder for a while. Love the rainy colours and the hint of clearing in the distance.
The only thing I hesitated on was the stone walls at the bottom. Are they walls? I feel they look a bit rushed and blury, and take away from the overall 3 dimensional aspect of the whole picture.
Everything else is great though. Hope to see more!

Thanks for your comments. Yes, it is supposed to be a stone wall which has many colours and shapes in the Dales.

Your water, wet appearances are always great. The postures of your subjects even suggest water, weather. The countryside is very nice with the stone wall and the old barn. The sky and the clouds spell 'wet weather'. The distant sky, and light is beautiful. Maybe there will be sunshine? FINE PAINTING.

Many thanks for your lovely comments. It was one I just made up instead of using one of my photos, which I usually do, so was a bit dubious about it!

This is lovely (for a stormy day). The picture is well executed. The figures draw you into the painting. The little cottage on the left I think should have been a wee bit bigger to continue your eye across the picture. But this is surely a beautiful picture.

Many thanks for your comments. Yes, I did wonder whether to make that cottage a little bigger.

Your welcome. Regardless it is a beautiful moment.

Lovely painting of my home County (I am from South Yorkshire) and still get homesick. I love the child scuttling after the parent, trying to keep up. They do lead you into the picture. I wonder if they are making their way up to the house on the hillside. Lovely work. K.

Thank you so much, K, for your great comments. Yes, that was the idea. I'm from Yorkshire originally, living most of my life on the East Coast. Glad you like it.

I wish I had the eloquence to express how your painting touched my soul. There is a beauty in it that surely comes from your heart. Endearing in so many ways. The love of a woman graces this work. Excellent.
