My prayers are with you.
Isn't it amazing how something so beautiful can come out of such tragedy.
Your color choice, especially in the clouds, show the strength of this fire.
May God be with you all.
Wonderful work!

Thank you, Granny!! They finally did get it out in our area. It got a close as 8 blocks from us then the wind shifted pushing the fire on up the park canyon.

A frightening element to what I imagine would normally be a tranquil landscape. The scale and bredth of the fire is clearly depicted especially in the amount of smoke arising from the flames. Great detail and use of colous to highlight the subject

It seems terrible to say that this is a great painting when I consider the circumstances.I feel bad for everyone who has to worry like this and I hope that you are safe and sound. The painting is beautifully done and you most definitely showed us what you have to contend with.Be safe hon!

Thank you, Angel! We had been watching the news and the glow and smoke in the sky all evening, but when the flames crested the hilltop, I really started to worry. It got within 8 blocks of us, then the wind shifted and the fire moved on up the park canyon. A little too close for me!!

You're welcome! Wow,that would be a little too close for me too.I should have stayed in the Northwest, now I'm in the East where it floods!

This is an amazing shot of the approaching fire. You've captured all the fear of the moment in this. Lighting and focus very good. You can almost smell the approaching smoke. The foreground grass adds depth to the view. Great composition. I hope it doesn't reach you.
