Absolutely beautiful landscape. Love how the moon shines down on the river. The tree on the right frames it very well. Mountains make a gorgeous background with the fog for extra interest. Over all an excellent picture with great composition and color. A great pleasire to view. Susan:)

Looks like a very peaceful place. I like the glassy water with maybe the moon adding a white cast to the waters surface. I like the pines and the ever rising series of mountains. The only thing that bothers me, after living 30 years in the west, is your choice of leaf pattern on the tree in the foreground. It looks like a chestnut or something oriental not a western US tree. Just my thougths. I still enjoyed the image. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for taking the time to review this, TP. I appreciate it. The tree is in memory of a big horse chestnut tree we walked past on the way to school. We used to make necklaces with the shiny, brown chestnuts. The tree in the painting should be fuller, but I didn't want to block too much of the background. :)

Great impact, with the tree framing the scene.The color harmony is great ( the black to light blue to dark blue & the white which lead your eyes to the sihouettes of the mountain top.This is high contrast scene which make for a beautiful composition. Thank for sharing.

Very striking! I love all the layers, my eyes just keep moving back and then to the front silhouette again. Very nice palate. Definitely gives me the impression of dusk. The highlight on the water give the impression it is moving. Great job, enjoyed viewing it.
