And, rightly so. Can't anyone see the regal stare he projects? And the authority he commands in his Moanch Stance? Yes, I THINK so!

Nice shot of my favorite subject. Like the frame/vignette you used. His eyes tell you that he's the boss. Love those long whiskers. He has nice color and markings. The white is a bit bright on the nose but not enough on this to deduct in my opinion. White is hard sometimes, so there ya go.

Initial Impact: Pet portrait
Story Telling: Good potential based solely on capture.
Artist notes: Descriptive, however capture information has not been shared. Providing capture information helps the reviewer understand how the image was taken. It also serves as a learning tool for others. (Note: For Windows users generally you can recover the capture information by right clicking the file, selecting Properties -> Details and scroll down.)
Composition: Good POV - nice head angle.
Framing: Good
Lighting: The natural lighting is harsh on the front of the subject and the white areas are clipped and have lost detail. Some shadow detail is lost as well.
Color: Natural
Focus: Sharp
DOF: Works well to enhance subject
Bokeh: Pleasing with harmonious colors.
Textures: fur / whiskers
Creativity: vignette and border have worked well here
Comments: Overall a nice capture and presentation.
Thanks for sharing.

Forget it. I am fed up with your reviewing. It is a whole history that is thrown to all of us. Make it shorter, and forget about this copy/paste business just changing a few words.

Annie - reviews are opinions and are subjective. I have a format and I address each topic independently. In as much as you are fed up with my reviewing, I will no longer review your work. As I said, all reviews are opinions on artistic appeal and technique - and we will not all agree. Sorry you have an issue with my opinions - many others appreciate the time I take on these reviews. /john

Some thing about this image I really really like. I like the look of the cat and your artist notes work well with your image of him. His colors are very different and eye catching. I like that you tried to do some light/shadow play here. I think what I am having trouble with is the strong frontal light on his nose and neck line(the white areas) I think your light is over exposed here. The fine details you captured is very well done, love the whiskers. i like the overall composition and the framing adds interest to your subject. A good job, enjoyed. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you very much. Tou are right about the over exposing. Wish you had not noticed. A lot of people do. It is sort of funny; just because I am avmurray and listed as number 1 at the ranking list, thet don't dear to be honest. You do, and I thank you for that as well.

You are very welcome. I review as I would like to be reviewed, if it is not honest what is the point right, lol. It is a learning process for us all and it is a lot of fun, lol. Keep smiling and doing the great job! ps congrats at #1 it is well earned truly! :)Pat

I thank you. You are one of my favotits. I must admit that I have giving hell to one reviewer tonight, I am so so fed up with this copy/paste thing. And the top of it all is that you have to read a long story before you get the point. I am not in a good mood tonight. I even senr a message to FAR telling them what I thought about their ranking system. Skill has not anyhing to do about it, just money. It is not fair. I admit that I like to be on the top, but I don't like how I got there. I did it because I thought I could sell something. It will never happen. Perhaps for only a few of us. You are an honest reviewer, and I appreciate.

Oh I hear you on the copy paste thing it is stupid and not fair to them or who they are reviewing. I actually just found out that this was not allowed on here and if you know of some1 doing it report them and they can get kicked off of here, it is defeating the whole purpose of this site. As far as selling something on here, I realized a while back that this is not the place to sell our images but personally I gain so much more than that from this site. Conversation with people from around the world for one, good people with a heart such as yourself. People who share a love for art in any form as I do. I am very limited in getting out of the house being a caregiver for my husband of many years, this last year. I use this site to release some of that creative energy I don't seem to have a lot of time to do any more. As far as you being on top, enjoy! It is desevered, you are very good and many of your images are important and deliever a message, I personally have enjoyed seeing images from places I will never be able to travel to. I appreciate you saying I am an honest reviewer I try to be helpful and always polite, no ones deserves thier dreams smashed and we all do a little dreaming on here, lol. I enjoy our conversations I hope we do more of it. :) Pat p.s. relax if you have a drop of wine around enjoy a glass cheers my friend be well.
