Excellent capture. As I was scrolling down the page, I realized that cropping a bit more off the top really made the heron stand out more - at least to me. Great details and coloring here. Good sense of forward motion and well framed.

Thank you so very much! I tried cropping off more from the top. The immage is so long it made the scene more rectangular and did not look as good to me.

Awesome photo. Love that you caught the bird completely sprawled out in flight. You were really able to show how long this bird truly is from head to toe. The water color helps to make the bird stand out even more, and adds a nice neutral background to the entire image. The lighting is great, and the details captured are perfect. THanks for sharing this!.

Nice capture of the wings in the down position. I like how close they come to the water. Nice composition and use of the rule-of-thirds. I also like how you left space in front of the heron as it is flying. The water has a nice blue tone to it.
