This is an incredible close up capture of the bird. You're producing great images. Good texture in the feathers, no doubt about it. I love all the colors of the feathers. Great eye shot. Good artist note. Good luck in the contest. Well done. Thanks for sharing.

Definitely texture here. How interesting it is to see how the feathers grow and layer over one another! Your detail here is superb! This is the closest I have seen of your wonderful work! Amazing! Impressive close up/macro!

That should fit the bill nicely Willie, Nice colours and excellent detail. The close up may come across as too powerful when seen on a big screen. Personally I am glad to see some colour in the background instead of your usual black. Looks more natural to my mind. Good luck

Great frame filling composition. of a really close up angled view of the birds head. Focus and exposure did very well here. Yes I think you have a great deal of texture in this one and also different types of texture. Those around the eye and the beak seem different to elsewhere. Good luck with you contest!

This super close up does show incredible detail of the bird and his breakfast. I like the tiny highlight in her eye. The color is rich but true and the background is also rich but not distracting, rather a perfect contrast to show off the bird.
