Congratulations with the shared first place for this lovely image. I am sure the birds did not like your Christmas decorations at all. Shiny, red and probably also moving. Your patience worked though. Your focus on the bird is nice and sharp showing lovely details. The little bird is really standing out against the background, and your photo has an almost 3D feel to it. The red ball gives this image the right Christmas feel and the use of light is excellent. The composition is really good with the different elements balancing the image in a very nice way. DOFF is excellent.

A dee dee bird! My very most favorite...well along with a lot of very most favorites when it comes to birds.

Gorgeous photo! The chickadee is very crisp and clear. It stands out nicely from the Christmas bulb, but the bulb still catches the attention in the background. Great color and composition. Thank you for sharing!

I like it! The contrast of the bright red glass ball and the muted tones of the bird works well. As for composition the subject would be greater served by cropping the photo to remove some of the ball so that it would not seem so overwhelming next to the bird. thanks for sharing.
