I see these birds too and I love the soft colors. I am shocked that they have a hunting season though! Great capture.

I never, ever knew mourning doves were game birds, Great info Willie, you are a Fan Art Review Teacher, sorry, I had to put that in. Great clarity and great pose on the suburban pigeon, at least thatā??s what I call them. I will have to eat ne next time, Iā??ll let you know how it was, lol

This is a great eye opening shot of the bird. They don't look large enough to bother plucking for a meal. Good composition, focus, detail and dof. Good artist notes. Well done. Thanks for sharing.

Another great shot. Your clarity here is amazing. Everything is good about this shot, the colour harmony, the light, the focus, the framing with the branches. My eyes are drawn to the feet and the eye. Overall technique - excellent.

it's very good to see one of your dynamic bird shots and at this time of the year. he sure has a lovely soft grey (with a hint of brown). sad to know that they are hunted for sport. i come from malta and they are the worst for blasting everything out of the sky, even protected birds of prey.
