You have certainly captured the foreboding storm - I didn't see the original photograph but this depicts so many scenes of a storm approaching. I like the lighting casting shadows and also like the trees.

I am familiar with Sandy's piece and here we have your interpretation. I love it as well Annie, it really has a lot of feeling in it as well.
I don't have a problem with your trees, they look well drawn and in good perspective. I like the lightness of the sky with the two birds in view, as that is such a common sight when storms come, you see birds swirling around.
I have done watercolours myself and find it a very difficult medium to work in but you have done justice. If I can make an observation the black behind the posts...that slash of black is really overpowering to my eyes, but that's just an observation.
Lovely stormy with feeling.

I have not seen the shot your are referring to, but I do not need to. This is beautiful!! The colors are shadows and lights are just perfect for the subject matter. You can feel the storm approaching!!

I remember it well! I had commented to Sandy that the grass in the foreground was blurry and could be attributed to wind rather than the moving car where she photographed the scene. You have done a nice job of re-creating that scene.
A bit darker and a bit more ominous but it certainly shows the approaching storm!

You know what, I'm going to review this now and I found out that I can edit my review and give you a 6 on this once I have the 6s to give. This is, in my opinion, one of the best pieces I've seen. The drama that you have created is in fact incredible and shadow, color and saturation enhance that drama for me. Needless to say, I love it. Great job once again.
