I sure do love this pic. It really amazing shot. It sure would be nice if I could get a shot like this one. We have one that hangs around all time where I live. He isn't easy to get, but yours is great. I like how you capture it taking off with the fish. Good color, focus, and lighting. Well Done!

You need to start off with a fast shutter speed 1000/sec ISO 400 with the fstop around f8. take a few test shots and look at them and make adjustments. You will need a long lens. I use a 300mm. Always remember whether it is people or animals concentrate the focus on the eye if you cant see the eye use the head. Then after the download adjust the brightness and contrast. I hope this helps! I would be glad to look at your shots!

I think you were in the right spot at the right time and must have very fast reflexes to get a shot like this. It is amazing with the birds wings up and the fish in its beak.

Thank you so very much! I shoot sequential fire. The second he moves I hold the button down and may shoot 30 shots or more.
