Good catch of the heron in flight going in for a fish. I suppose he was humiliated at the miss and left. They are really shy birds and I like the pose this one is caught in. Thanks for sharing.

Very good timing to get this outstanding photo. Did you have the camera on a tripod focus on him and used a remote to get this one or were you looking through the camera all the time.

Thank you so very much! I never use a tripod, the action is much to fast. I shoot with a fast shutter speed with sequential fire.

A great action shot! Well done - I love the 'messy' state of his feathers and the splash of water at his feet. The horizontal lines in the background works well with the vertical lines of the bird!
