Great timing and great patience waiting to get this shot! I know these birds are not easy to capture and you did a great job! They are gorgeous animals and I love how you caught the detail in the wing. Good composition. Good luck in the contest!

Fantastic shot of this large blue heron and your timing was perfect to catch him just as he was lifting off from the stump. The clarity and detail that you captured in the bird is excellent. Just a gorgeous shot and your camera skills really show on this one.

Nice entry to the contest. The colors are deep and rich and very inviting. The focus on the bird is slightly off, he is a little out of focus. Other then that the positive and negative space looks balanced and the composition flows.
