Oh yes this is a six star photograph. Detail is awesome as is color and the dark background works perfectly in this photograph. Excellent work and good luck in the contest

Love This One! Amazing close-up. The details are magnificent. The sharpness and emphasis on the eyes gives this shot a WOW element. The colors, composition, and overall balance are great. You can be proud of this one! :)

Really awesome shot of this cardinal. I'm curious about his catch light. Is that the sun or did you have a flash near enough to him to show up? Fantastic detail and interest. Great contrasting colored background.

Thank you so very much! No flash. All the light is sun. I have used flash before to turn the background black.

This is just fantastic!! The detail and definitions of the bird is stunning!
If I were the judge this would win any competition, love the dark green backdrop this really pushes the gorgeous reds and blacks of those feathers and I just love that catch light in the eye. No sixes left to give.

Awesome close-up of the cardinal. His eye is perfectly focused and the beak is still quite sharp. Difficult to pull off. Great detail in the feathers and a lovely green background. Good luck in the contest!
