as a veteran from the 7o's its strange today to be thanked so much! when i served i would spit upon being called baby killer. i remember after my 1st yr i came home on leave in my dress uniform and i would get the strangest looks like i was a criminal..lol but to top it all i had high school buddies making comments saying"folks aint sending to college?" or "cant find better work like the peace corp?" i give these idiots the deer in the headlight look and remember they were sucking on weed and whatever while daddy paying for thier waste..but its so joyful the kids now are getting the respect they deserve. i transport these young men and women and i tell them the same thing i have been told b4.."make it back safe!" thanks for the great review

Beautifully detailed work Mark.
It is a wonderful tribute to all the veterans.
Your work is always excellent.
If I could do as well with markers I would be very pleased with myself.

You are absolutely right. The medic is the anchor of every branch of service. they are always ready to put their life on the line for the men and women who need them. this is a great reproduction of what I would expect.

Nice remake of Larry Burrows Photograph:), colors are nicely saturated however, you made this tragic situation in Vietnam a little bit too happy which is not a good side of this art. You are talented but some epic photographs and replicas should stay as they are, dark, terrifying and less colorful if you know what I mean:) Thanks for sharing and take care

oh u must be going thru some issues...i took only few images from the 66(not all) dmz photo and added in to prove a point, but since u were going thru a tizzy u didnt read the artist notes that i work with shapie/bic markers on poster which are bright colors in general. im sorry that u have suffered thru muzzleflash to think these are so bright but the topic was to bring hope tothe wounded even in nam..im 13b1o primary and 76k1o secondary..how bout u? u even served? thanks for the somewhat review and have a good life!

first of all you don't have to get upset this is my opinion and you will have to live with that. Second of all I read your artist notes and you didn't explain that this art is actually taken from the Larry Burrows making it your own composition and theme. I did served but it's not your buisness to speak about it here. I'm glad you are a gunner primary and hope you won't get into situation like this on the photographs from Vietnam. Next time when you take someone photographs and reinterprated it make a reference where did you take it from. You got talent but you are not gonna make a heaven from hell

Interesting piece. Very nice layout/composition and range of colors. For some reason I immediately think of that song Orange Crush, by R.E.M. You can hear the helicopters in the background. Great job.

Amazing detail, as always and a very poignant image that tells a good story. I think I've told you before that my step son was in the British Army for many years and trained as a medic. I think thay have to work in some terrible conditions and should all be honoured for their bravery.

Just a great piece all around, Mark, the composition of course is outstanding, with the soldier on the left coming into the frame, the green and the orange hues work so well together. THe hint of sky and the helicopter were actually the first things I noticed and it brought me back into the picture. Love it. Jean
