like a photo from a distance
but closer,you can see that it was painted.I love how you did the background,it makes your
flower look like it is three dimensional.The colors are awesome,the blue on the leaves really makes them stand out.And the red of the flower is really a vivacious color
Wonderful technique as you know I am going to say and I thank you for sharing your great talent in 2D art.

MoonWillow, that is it. I am going to give up art and take up digital art. Just can't compete with your beautiful pieces. I love red too. Your composition is spot on and I love the mottle background. I have the purple irises and can relate to the dead pieces that you have included in the painting. Too good. Still waiting those roses.

LOL. Believe me, Sandy, you have more flexibility with your traditional brushes than with digital. I'm still trying to train mine to do what I want...lol. Thank you so much for the beautiful review!! :) PS. Thanks for recognizing those as dead ones. They have a dried, papery look and I need to work on that more, but at least you could tell what they were :)
