This is a magnificent photograph of this vulture. Their naked heads and job of cleaning up the dead can lead some to not like them much, but I agree with you that they are indeed beautiful birds and do us all a service.
Your shot is beautiful. It is simple, with the bird perched on a post centered in the image, yet it is so crystal clear, showing vivid details in the animal's feathers and head, that no other elements are necessary.
The blurred green background is perfect. The color is rich but true.

This is a magnificent photograph of this vulture. Their naked heads and job of cleaning up the dead can lead some to not like them much, but I agree with you that they are indeed beautiful birds and do us all a service.
Your shot is beautiful. It is simple, with the bird perched on a post centered in the image, yet it is so crystal clear, showing vivid details in the animal's feathers and head, that no other elements are necessary.
The blurred green background is perfect. The color is rich but true.

What a rare sight to see such a bird down so low. I've seen a few, but always high in a tree or atop a telephone pole. Like the composition and all the details in the feathers. Nice lighting and pretty, uncluttered green background...sets the bird off nicely. When I first saw that raw-meat face up close (in a picture I took awhile back) I shuttered, but those gorgeous feathers made me see him for the beauty he is. Nice work! Lynnmarie

Leaving some room for the vulture to move into. You have a great set of artist notes first telling about the subject. Then you really sell it. Good set of camera information. On the camera settings the only thing I think I would have changed is to add the focal length of the lens for this picture. Thanks for sharing.

Definitely have not seen one of these up close until now through you! You could not have set up this shot any better - the background is fabulous, and the details on the bird are excellent. His pose is perfect to give us all a good look at him.

Great capture of the bird with very nice sharpness, in a nice pose against that great slightly textured very soft green background.
Nice how you managed to capture all of that detail. The colors are nice with that red head adding a nice splash of color that contrasts with the green background.
