This looks like the one we been feeding every morning. Great close up with excellent detail! Very good cropping to get just the face. Thanks for the information.

Willie! Can you get any closer? Great shot you can count his whiskers and his eye is crystal clear. Dave

Thank you so very much! No this is it without putting on the macro. I had some 4's because they could not see the ears! I think for fun I might post just the eye and see what happens!

Yes, I love shots up close and personal and animals eye captured clearly are simply too important to the composition to ignore and you got that right. Not only that, but its face area between the eyes is clear and the whiskers only add interest.

Comments: Since this is a mug shot of "Squirrelly Crazy Nut" I will not make any comments about how much I dislike tightly cropped pictures. This is an exception because it is a Mug shot. (lol). Good crisp image. You really got a close up of him. Thanks for the great artist notes. Thanks for sharing.

I like those whiskers. Now this is what you call a close-up. A real tight composition and the whiskers are great. The squirrel's eyes really gives you the feeling he is asking "What are you doing?". I like it.

What a cutie! I like your photo very much and I haven't seen a squirrel so close up before - it was so fun to read about how your dog chase him up the tree - thanks for sharing this lovely photo with me..

Great close up on this little guys face here. Good focus on his nose and eye, capturing good details and colours in the shot. Nicely framed - I quite like the close up shots on faces, although I know many here don't like the close cropping.
Thanks for sharing

Nice close up of the cute, but sometimes pesky creature. Clarity and focus on the nose and face are good. Lighting and color are good. I can almost see him twiching his nose. I wish there was just a bit more of his head.

Thanks! The intent was to show the detail of the close view.
