You need great timing to capture this.It has good colours and the detail in the feathers is amazing.This close up only includes what is needed for a dramatic picture. Good luck inn the contest. Mitch

I really like that you capture these shots really close up. It's outstanding, very different from the average picture. But the real fantastic part is the moments you capture. This baby being fed is... well for lack of a more masculine word precious.
I like that they stand out on the canvas, but that may start to get repetitive. It doesn't look natural. It's cool for a couple of shots, but don't let yourself settle on that.
Cool shot, a welcome addition to the site.

Fabulous nature photo! A really excellent shot of a common bird scene!! But I have never, to the best of my recollection, seen a better one. I would be very proud of myself if I had this in my collection of takes. I can't find a fault in this and I would give it more than 5*'s if I could! Great work!!

This is a brilliant close up of the lovely little cardinal being fed by its mother. I love the angle you managed to catch here. Lighting and focus very good showing great detail in the markings. The dark background sets them off perfectly. Very nice composition.
