This looks more like a laugh than a smile, but as long as the donkey is not laughing at me it is OK. LOL It is a very funny photo though. I can almost "hear" the smile.

You have focused really well on the mouth area but I also wish the eye could have been a bit sharper. Still it is really fine details to be seen here. I also think the exposure is spot on and the colors are nice and natural. The background is nicely blurred for the donkey's head to stand out nicely.

I also think the tight cropping works well and the placement of the head within the frame works well. This is a well taken photo and I wish you luck with the contest.

This is a GREAT smile and looks like it could have been taken by "W" who revealed to us the image of Donkeyoatey.
Even if that's NOT the case I LOVE the shot ! It spread smiles just the way you wanted it too! HOw can anyone NOT like this.
