You have recorded a rare sight, and colors are vividly presented.
At our lake home and at Florida stay, I have never seen this great view. Our birds seem drab in comparison with this fine photo. Thanks for sharing.

He looks terrific especially that beautiful blue wing span. I like how he's taking off. The wood stump is interesting too. The blue ripples look cool. Great image well done.

Composition right on, like the oval of wavelets that the heron is excaping, the post that provides an anchor point, the suspended droplets of water, the graceful sh ape of the body and out spread wings. And of course, the head held high, holding the prize.
Colors work well, background supports and does not compete with the subject that is very clearly defined.
Do question the sharpness but the softness may just reflect the low quality of the far site.
Well done and deserving more than the maximum o 5 stars that I am able to give at this time.
