Very beautiful birds I have to say due to their bright red colour. Very good shot showing the bird's head turned to one side. Your framing is spot on and so is focus. Plain background enhances the overall image and compliments the tones in the bird's feathers. Good Luck in the contest.

What a good head shot of my state bird (NC), the cardinal. I do like the close up and he is definitely giving the viewer the eye. Great color and detail, focus and composition. Good choice of background color.

Good visual impact. Sharp as a tack. Lighting and exposure coulden't be any better. Good dof and bg blur. Very good technique and high technical excellence.
