Have you started to give your birds names ? If you have I think Sally is a fine name and she is indeed a pretty girl. The green background is really nice and such a nice contrast to the red beak.

Your focus is always spot on showing wonderful details in the feathers. The eye is especially clear and bright with a small reflection. The exposure is perfect and the colors are nice and natural.

The way you have placed the bird within the frame is perfect together with the neat cropping. I also like very much the little branch in the foreground and the way the bird seems to have a little peep around it. This is once again an excellent close up. Well balanced and with good DOFF.

A very nice closeup of the female cardinal. I really like the sharpness of the photo and the detail showing in the brilliant red beak and head. The green background is especially nice as a contrasting color.

This is very, very good, Willie! You are the master of these close-ups! The Cardinals are a favorite of mine and you are right about the subtle reds in the female. We are fortunate to have had them build their nest in the arbor next to our patio. We now get a good look at them every day! Beautiful shot of this beautiful bird!

Sally is just about as beautiful as beautiful can be! I agree that the color on these Female cardinals is exquisite! I have always thought a dress designer should use their coloring as a guide for making a beautiful ball gown for the Inauguration or some other special event! Great detail and clarity. Excellent capture in every way!
