Such luck in timing here. A perfectly fascinating shot of a normally hard to catch subject. This is a one of a kind. Thanks for sharing.

Great photo. The nest is very colorful. It's interesting how they hummingbird's nest is glued to the branch. The angle looking up at the baby is great and he is framed nicely with the green leaves in the background. He has definitely outgrown the nest.

Thank you so very much! Yes but it stretches as it is made with cottonwood fiber and spider webs. There is two of them. The other is behind this one. The nest is an inch and a half in diameter.

This is so cute. I never thought about a hummingbird as have a nest which is really stupid and than to see this guy scratching his back is even better. What is the nest made of and where do you look for them. I know this is a tree but it doesn't look like anything I have ever seen. The lighting and focus is great. The stroytelling is out of this world.

How sweet! I wish we had hummingbirds in the UK. Nearest we get to them is the Hummingbird moth which I have seen in my garden only once! You have framed the shot very well. I like the perspective and focus is very good. Slight blurr in the background shows the foliage but does not detract from the main subject matter. A charming picture of a delightful bird.
