Lovely colors on this Heron and you have caught him in the perfect moment as he stretches his wings and shows that beautiful blue plumage. These elegant birds make wonderful subjects for the camera as they take off in flight. Great shot ,well done.

Lots of images of these beautiful birds on FAR currently. I still look at them though because they are so colourful and graceful. Like the composition with the bird flying into the vacant space on the left hand side of the frame. Touches of foliage in the foreground add some bright colour. Do feel the shot is rather on the dark side though and needs lightening. If not the background, at least the bird.

well what can I say the capture is brilliant of this blue heron, ive not seen one before, the colours on him are fantastic such clarity of details, so well focused and his wing spa the catch that in motion so well camera skill , good background cant find any fault, good luck with the competition you should do well with this one
