Impact 5 color 5 like the depiction of the sand and sand dunes. Like the different colors in the sand bringing your eye to the dog and the shadows. Water looks realistic and seems to be a storm brewing. Very nice

Susan, the composition of this painting is beautiful. Wonderful detail in the sand with the plants, and a great look down beyond Kohi to the water. I did this exact painting about ten years ago, minus Kohi when I told my wife (an art major) that anyone could paint a beautiful seascape. I went to my office, took out some watercolors and proceeded to paint the exact painting you are showing here. Within a few hours I realized the error of my ways and hid it under a piece of furniture. Fast forward now several years. The entire family is enjoying ourselves around our pool when the subject came up again. I remembered the painting and sent my adult son to my office to get this masterpiece. When he brought it down we all immediately burst into laughter at the sight of it. A five year old could have done a better job. My days of painting are now over, I totally respect your artistic ability, and I am resigned to pushing the button on my camera.

WOW! So soft in pastels, so full of action, movement and I feel I am right there running to him and wanting to play. Lovely dunes/side to side, and the path leading up to him is sweet in textures/colors/focus/vivid and has depth. The grass is perfectly displayed and the water beyond the dog is so inviting. The sky is well composed along with the level of horizon. Awesome composition and thanks for sharing this one. The dog's position looking back at the owner makes me happy, that I love. Love your shades/tones/shadows and perfect control on light here. The soft sunlight on path really seals this piece.

Oh I can't bear to think of poor Kohi chained up like that. How fantastic that he has been rescued by your kind daughter - and he looks to be enjoying his freedom on the beach. A lovely composition to your pretty painting.

An attractive scene showing sky, water and land. The dunes are life like. Remember many beaches like this. The track made in the sand between them takes the eye to the dog and then into the distance. The colours are very pretty, emphasize being on lilac tones but this is one of my favourite colours. Apt for the contest. Good Luck in that.

Very nice work. I like it a lot. The way the dog seems to be calling out and just waiting. Not the kind of beaches we find in our part of the world.
