This photograph really captures the impending storm. I love the way you have taken the shot right when that wave was reaching its peak. Very effective

What a nice capture of color. There are so many varieties of grey, green and brown here. You can really see the turbulance of the storm rolling in. Very good job.

Good use of shutter speed, the way you have jammed this splash or wave, even though it gives me sad and gloomy feeling. nicely composed.

Thank you for viewing and you kind compliments. Yes that 'sad and gloomy" feeling is intentional. I would add terified because what is approaching there is tropical storm Dolly [60 Miles wind and 1o-12 in rain on the Yucatan]. Two days later a hurricane causing severe damage in Texas.

Love the cloud formatin on this one Cleo. I can sti and watch the storms coming in where I live, they are an impressive site. Interesting capture of the wave as you caught it. You must have been shooting at a high shutter speed. Shirley

gorgeous shot! so much going on here, but they all mix together to create a beautiful whole...like the varying shades of green in the sea, and the touch of brown in the surf...capped off by the dark clouds in the back!

The layers and shades of colour in this are intriguing and add a sense of drama to the overall scene. The central layer of sea is well framed by the brown breaking waves and the imposing dark skyline.
