Water lilies are only second to lotus flowers as being the greatest of flowers to photograph.
Like the flower and the geometric background that enhances the flower. This flower, as presented, seems a little awkward in appearance and composition. That one petal at the bottom appears to be supporting the whole flower and makes the composition awkward with all of the empty space in the bottom third. A crop just below the other petals would result in better composition.'
On this, why iso 400 and f4? Put the camera on a tripod, shoot at iso 100 to maximize quality an f8 to maximize depth of field. This would eliminate the slightly soft focus and improve the captured image quality.
The lily lacks elan, the colors (well white and yellow) look rather limp. Try playing around with the contrast and brightness to enhance the yellow and make the white crisper. Perhaps just a tab more saturation.

This grabbed my attention right away. I love the contrast between the white flower and dark, almost glass-like water. This looks like something that would work well either in color or black and white and still be visually interesting. The water droplets on the flower add to the interest. I like the composition being on the left for the rule of thirds and that the flower itself adds a lot of leading lines right into the heart of the flower. I think the only thing I would like to see is the picture slightly brighter with a little more color saturation - but it really doesn't bother me that it doesn't have it either. Great job!

Nice shot!
I really like this! The colors are nice and the background is good. This bloom is different than the ones I have seen!
