Great stilled capture caught in motion of your granddaughter. Looks like she's having a blast. Wonderful light, comp as well as rich tonalities.

What a great shot! I wish I had shots like this of my own children when they were in sports and dancing as kids. I'm absolutely positive that Whitney will be thrilled with this photo when she is a grown woman and her children will love it as well. Now, I am going to get on my soap box for a minute. I hope you are making notes in the details portion of the properties section of each of these photos. I have scanned several hundred old photos into my computer from when my kids were growing up. Luckily I made a lot of notes on the earlier photos and I have put those comments about people and places into the .jpg properties area and given a flash drive with them on to each of my kids. I came across photos of me as a kid, my brother had most of the family photos half way across the country. But the ones I had, I've scanned into the computer and put notes on them. I will be taking a copy with me to Wisconsin in a few weeks for my sons. I will mail my daughter's copy to her. My brother has about 400 old photos from before I was born that my grandmother never notated and neither did my mother. They are no longer with us and now I know only a few people in these photos. I have been trying to get my brother to scan them and send me the flash or send me the photos or something before all of the information is lost. It is such a shame, all of those old photos, I'm 68 and the ones I'm talking about are even older than that, and no one in the family will ever know who the people in them are and I don't think his kids care. So, I am on a mission to get people to do this with at least the most important of the family photos and to make sure there are copies of them for the kids. I remember that 50+ years ago my grandmother would tell me stories about some of these old photos, but she never wrote anything on the photos and I was too young to realize I should do it then. I have regretted this for years. They were her photos, so I just never thought to write on them. My mother always said she would, but she never did it either. Of course, not all of my photos have any meaning to my kids, but it is the family photos, like this one, that I am so passionate about. Sorry if I am preaching to the choir, but I have converted a few to doing this and also at least one artist to making detained notes to attach to art work that is for their grand children. Back to your photo, it is great, you really captured her leg in a wonderful position. It is a great action shot. I'll be proud grandpa was enjoying every minute of it.

Thank you so very much! I think with the modern picture files your suggestion is good and would not be hard to do!

This is nice.
You can see her joy and speed.
Sharp. Good impact and overall composition.
Pity her right foot overlaps the other girl's foot- so does not show as well as might have been best.
Good luck for the contest.

This is wow stop action shot. You surely have your focus down pat it this photograph. It is absolutely amassing how you captured the two girls with their legs at the same stride an almost at the same position. I am very impressed with the color and clarity of this photograph. This is really well done! Thanks for sharing you granddaughter as she is about to kick the ball. I wish you the best of luck with the contest.

Great action capture Willie with little motion blur creating a sharply focused shot of your Whitnie doing what she enjoys so much! She looks rather young and must be on a incredible team! Good for her! Love the team colors and the sweet granddaughter of yours looks right in her element!!Great capture!

Good action picture Willie. Completely different skill set required compared to your bird shots. From a balance point of you - I would like it more if your granddaughter was over more to the right, or if the girl behind was not there. All you can do is put the camera on continuous and keep shooting. Nice picture though.

What a great action shot! You really froze her in just the right moment. Nicely focused and framed - the ball has somewhere to go!
