The detail and vivid color make this picture seem as though this bird will fly right out of the picture! The backround further brings crisp clairity to the suject. Wonderful picture.

I almost have a feeling I have seen this photo before, but you have posted so many photographs of birds that it is impossible to keep track. Because of the red chest this bird appears quite colorful and the complimentary green background is of course perfect.
As usual you have focused well on the eye and it is really standing out clear, bright and sharp. It is also great details in the feathers. The exposure is spot on and it is not a trace of over exposure in the white feathers. I also think they are well defined in black.
The placement of the bird within the frame works well together with the neat cropping. Another well taken photo of this bird. I wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you so very much! You have not seen this one but you saw one like if about a week ago, and others like it over the past year. These birds are here now. My wife told me she saw one this morning. I need to get more shots.
