Whatever the angle you chose to click, the result is pretty good! Yellow over green gives a soothing contrast. Light condition and focus are good. A further shallower depth of field may have added further glow to the image. Good shot!

Yes sometimes these are very difficult to get close enough to get a good photo, but it sounds like you had a little trouble to get this beautiful iris. It looks like the light is a little bright on the very top. Very good work to get the yellow and green. It looks so natural. Thanks for sharing.

It's a good angle, especially as there were no others! The yellow stands out brilliantly against the green and I like the little drop of water on the left which somehow gives it a context.
