I am liking this! My favorite is the queens expression. Her hand on her face as if to say: enough! Lol
love the history behind these two chess pieces.I like the flood filter and the slight shadow like reflections of the King And Queen.
Your usual fabness! ;)

This picture would deserve at least two six stars. On, of curse for the photos, the other for the comments. What a fascinating story to fascinating items. The chess pieces look so personnal as if they were once carved after living models.
the capture of detail of the figures is exquisite. The somewhat background is genial. It resembles the great hall of king and queen as a chess board and the water surrounding the islands. Amazing. The color of old ivory is perfect.
Sorry for just a five; but I am on the thirty day penalty.

Wow! Your commentary is very interesting. That is amazing. I know nothing about chess unfortunately. This photo, as always Miss Annie is stunning. FAR will not allow me to give you more than 5 stars at this time but certainly deserves a 6. Your backgrounds never seize to amaze me! Truly. Your color and clarity does the same. You are an amazing photographer and your editing skills are just off the charts crazy good!!

I thought these pieces must be chess pieces before I reviewed the photograph. I play chess but not with such detailed pieces! I like the filters you have used to create the patterns in the background as well as foreground. Although the colours are very similar throughout the photograph, there is a big tonal range and also lots of detail for the eye to absorb. Lighting is very good and so is focus.

They are truly amazing & the expressions are priceless, the King looking very pleased with himself while the Queen looks rather bored almost as she waere saying"How much longer?" Artistic composition, with superb lighting to highlight the fine carving & details on the pieces & perfect camera tecnhniques with sharp 3D focus.
