First off, thank you for introducing me to, Octavio Ocampo, I looked up his work and found it very interesting in how he weaves the natural flowers into his compositions, as well as other objects and subjects.
I think you did an admirable job her in creating you piece honoring his style and the likeness of her is done very well.
I do think you could have not cut off the top of her head as much as you have. The colors are good and pastel feel of them is well balanced throughout the piece.
Nicely done.

Thank you very much for your kind and encouraging comments and your especially for your critique. You are right. The framing is to tight. That teaches me to be more careful. I am the one always criticizing tight framings and then I do the same dumb mistake, but its to late to repair that. :o)

As soon as I saw this there was such a feeling of peace. I think not only in the subject matter, but also the colours chosen. The flow and the curves continue to add to that feeling. Beautiful work Cleo.

Don't be puzzled, I do not mean the prison. I mean the flower. A species of Lilies is called Alcatraz in southern Mexico and on some Caribbean islands. You can see the orange-yellow flower below. :o)
