He has a very interesting expression. As a portrait painter, I find the facial feature to be interesting. I also like the Chinese writing on the back, it adds culture information. With it, his traits are even more dominant. Thank you for sharing.

Wonderful shot. The shadows and light are just right. The green characters form a wonderful natural frame. Really nice shot.

Super great clarity and lighting. Subject matter is great. Colors on the wall help give the photo all the color it needs to bring out the fishermans attire.
Great journalism shot. Thanks so much for sharing

Very nice. I love how the green letters frame this shot. It gives the shot depth. Nice detail on our friend and I love the hat. His face has some areas where there is glare from the sun but does not take away from the shot. Thank you for sharing.

Love the portrait and the way you have taken it with part of the hat cropped. Fits the frame well. Well taken

Whilst in Qingdao, one Saturday I went to the Laoshan temple with an Ausie friend.. at the bottom of the 500 steps was a fishing village where we walked along the water front, with a group of fishermen watching us. I love China very much though my forebears were mainly mongolian, but there was something worrying about their eyes, not exactly hatred, merely -well, I have never felt unwanted in China, but I did then! I never worked out if it had to do with the temple of laoshan or what. I felt strong feelings in the whole of that area of Shandong- a weird sadness over took me I couldn't shake, I still get it when I think of that place to this day!But this is wonderful,
it is amazing to me that in this day and age we still see subjects like this - beautiful

This is a fine photograph of a bearded gentleman squinting into the sun. The capture of facial features is sharp and interesting. I wonder what he is saying as he has his mouth open phasing a word?

A very detailed portrait of this happy relaxed man. The beard is so well defined can almost count the hairs. A superb portrait expertly taken.

Cool portrait of this fisherman. I feel like he either wants to tell me something, or he's exhausted or just relaxing and enjoying the day. Maybe it's a little of all three. Good emotion captured with nice frame work and detail/focus.
