What a beautiful tribute Mark.
Perfect for Jairos! It sure makes me think of him and the art of this work is just fabulous as usual. Microscopic perfection. Pleasure to view another beautiful tribute.

Great tribute to Jairos! I agree about his work - beautiful shots. This is such a good image with the different expressions on the insects' faces. Love the colours you used in this. Excellent detail drawn. Great composition. Suzanne

This is charming. Did the monkey come from a work by Jairos? I like his work. Her? I am getting to see more of your skills with these tributes. Nice composition and framing. Thank you for sharing and best of luck with this image

Pamela since 2011 I have done over 1000 drawings here on FAR. You would get bored trying to get halfway through it. However to make it easier and entertaining for you I suggest you go to YouTube.com and search "MKFlood Presents". There will find about 19 illustrated music videos with a wide range of music, stories and art. I draw everything than just cartoons. Wink. Thanks for the great review.

This one is a truly wonderful piece.
I like that you are in the corner with the magnifying glass, and you are showing us what you see.
Now your insects are adorable. This reminds me of one of my older sisters favorite childhood movies. A Bug's Life.
I love this one. Thank you for giving me a memory to remember with my sister who has moved out and grown up.

dont worry you will be right behind her. your mom and dad will gee where has the time gone? i know at your age time seems to drag but trust me as you get older time will fly. 10 years from now remember that statement and you will say then.."yeah i see what he is talking about!" wink. thanks for the great review.

I will leave yes, but until i graduate college. I'm not dumb like her. TOO much money to move out.
And I hope to move to London one day, but if I do I'm taking mom and dad with me.

there go..its nice to have goals. when i was your age i wanted to similar things..when i was 16 i submitted to the "Memphis Academy of Commercial Art" and was accepted but did not have the money to go to college. determined i joined the army for the college benefits. i did my time got out on honorable discharged and wound up fallen in love and marrying my high school sweetheart. had a kid coming and didnt have the faith that i would be able to support my kids in the art world. so i gave up the thought for the moment and went into management. after 25 years the sweetheart traded me in for a doctor but i got to keep custody of my daughter. the other 2 daughters where grown and married. when my last daughter left for school i started pursuing my original dream with my lil ole sharpie and bic pens. after a decade im all over the web..famous but no real money. glad i did the management thing to raise my kids. looking back i am proud that i was there for my daughters lives and still am to this day. they have good jobs and awesome kids..guess you can say i made better choice..follow your heart and DON'T EVER STOP BELIEVING...wink.

Thank you for sharing that with me. I love my art and I plan to continue it. But I did promise my mom and dad that I will be sure to go to college for something that will pay the bills. I am investigating that now as I am currently taking college courses in the 9th grade. I am going to try out some digital classes and some art therapy courses and others. See what I like that can put food on the table. How old is your youngest daughter? I am sorry your sweet heart hurt you, I am sorry you, and your daughter.

You seem like a very happy dad and grandpa. I am glad your grandchildren have you.
reply by the author on 01-Feb-2018
nahh its the other way around..im glad to have them..wink
reply by Minnie Kaye on 01-Feb-2018
I say it that way because my moms parents have passed, way to early (42 both) and my dads parents are mean and nasty about my sister and I (don't like my mom, even after 26 years that they have been together happy and still in love). So I am sure you are happy to have them but I am sure they are so happy to have you.

Lil over a year ago I did tributes to many fellow artist and photographer called " the book of FARtist" if u look at the top of this drawing u will see the numbers to the other pages..many of those folks r still here with us today..get a chance take a look and no I don't expect u to review them. At least u will get introduce to some artist or photographers u may have missed..now I sound like an ADVERTISMENT for them but hey credit is due if u know what I mean..wink. Jarios even thru me back a tribute of water droplets with the sharpie logo in the reflection. It was very cool of him..wink
    Thanks for the awesome review.

What a unique and creative idea to look through the eyes of the monkey. To see what he sees. I love how it shows who is looking through the magnifying glass and then brings that image to the forefront for the viewer. Great job
