Your drawings are beautifully detailed and technically excellent Lucien. I have no suggestions for improvement on this work as an individual work. However as part of a book which you are submitting to the committee, I would take out the two big cats and replace them with two more birds so the book is all about wild birds. The big cats seem out of place in a book of wild birds. I think you should put them in their own book and submit a separate book of wild cat drawings as well. They seem to like the subject matter in the books to have a flow more then just pencil drawings in general. Pencil drawings of wild birds in one book and pencil drawings of wild cats in another. ;-)

Skyangel02,
I will take you suggestion and separate out the birds from the cats and have each book be more specific to specific animal. I am not sure about changing the background colors, but I will give that suggestion consideration.
Except cats and birds seem to be linked, but I will do the separation before submitting.
This one sit right between minimalists and a full up portrait drawing, but again the eye is the focal point..
Thanks again and have great weekend... Cheers!!!

Small cats eat birds but those big wild cats prey more on other animals don't they? In what way are they linked to birds? Just curious because in my mind I don't connect lions and tigers with birds.

I looked it up, they do but not very often. it was more a generic term, dealing with cats and their love of birds.
Thank again, have a great weekend, ... cheers!!!

A nice drawing that shows your style of drawing. A simple but detailed approach in capturing a good likeness of the animal.
I would like to have seen you use more degrees of darkness in the drawing to make it more life-like, more depth, meaning it would jump out at you more.

You have done a good job on capturing the half of the animal here in the drawing. Your detail is good for this but I do not personally fine it all that appealing.

The line strokes got the smooth shading around them. I really like that eye which shows out the passions of the toughness and heroism.

I like the way you have just drawn part of he face and left the rest to the imagination. The detail in this and the way you have drawn it are excellent. A very creative and interesting work of art.

I understand what you were trying to achieve here but I think it needed just a little more detail.Without the title I would not know it was a bobcat. i knew it was feline but not which

Very good. Good shading lines and texture of the animal fur. I like your idea of drawing the minimal of the animal.I would make more contrast in the shadings

Thank you for taking the time to look and then comment on my work. I think it's the scan, alweays seems to loose some of the details, and hues, difference. Appreciate the time and your support.
