An excellent flower shot from an unexpected angle. Like it and yes the white tips of this pink beauty are great and show up so well. I love dahlias and can hardly wait to get my bulbs in the ground this spring. This is a good entry for the contest and a different view that most of the entries from below the flower. Excellent flower photo.

impact 5 color 5 lighting 5 techical 5 nice sharp image, technique 5 - depth of field, and composition. Like the contrast of flower to background. Think there should have been some lighting on part of stem that goes to the back of the flower because can not see the details and it is almost dead center

Gorgeous image. Love the perspective of taking the image from the back..looking upward. Wonderful lighting creating almost a halo of light at the tip of the petals. The inclusion of the bud and the bit of another flower puts the main bloom into context. Lovely natural background. Good Luck in the contest!

nice photo of a dahlia...its a little blurry compared to other work I have critiqued...I would feel aweful for not awarding a 5 if this is actually my computer screen and not your photo...if you do not concur about the focus and clarity, I can change the rating...its still a nice capture...thanks for sharing
