This is indeed a handsome cat. I love the expression. He was definately hamming for the meal. How did you get the details seperated from the original background? I don't know how to do that with fine details like whiskers.

Thank you so very much for the lovely review. I admit it isn't easy to separate a photo like this from the original background, and I am not even sure I do it in the most easy way. First I duplicate the image and soften the original to maximum. I then use the rubber tool in PS to remove all background around the cat. First soft to keep the small hairs, and then stronger. I zoom in by 200 % and just carefully work the rubber tool around the whiskers. It takes time, patience and practice to get it right.
